Kind Designs, based in Miami, Florida, has closed a $10 million pre Series A round. The company originally set out to raise $5 million, but investor demand climbed toward $20 million and it doubled the size of the raise.

The round values Kind Designs at $70 million and brings total funding to $21.5 million. Returning backers Mark Cuban and former Washington, D.C. mayor Adrian Fenty took part, joined by new investor and NBA forward Kyle Kuzma.

The company pairs large scale 3D printing with ecological engineering to build Living Seawalls, artificial reefs and other shoreline systems meant to protect coastlines while giving marine life somewhere to settle.

Revenue reached $1 million during 2025. Since then the company says it has locked in $10 million in contracted revenue and built an active pipeline worth $175 million, with work spanning municipalities, luxury hotels and the United States military, including a recently awarded $2 million contract with the US Navy.

The new capital will fund expansion into new markets, added production capacity, engineering hires and support for larger municipal and federal projects.
