Pulse Security came out of stealth on July 15, 2026 with $8 million in a Seed round led by Foundation Capital. Zetta Venture Partners also participated. The company is based in Los Altos, California.

Mike Armistead, Robert Hipps and Nick Gilligan founded the company to address something the cybersecurity industry has spent decades stepping around: giving the person who runs the security program the same operational foundation every other business function already takes for granted.

Its operational management platform is built for security leaders, with security professionals and AI agents working together to execute procedures, capture decisions and provide real time program visibility without the manual overhead that usually comes with it.

The funding will speed up engineering and go to market work as the company meets enterprise demand from security leaders looking to modernise how their programs run.
