Greenjets Raises $40M Series A for British Drone Interceptors

Greenjets, a British aerospace technology company headquartered in London, England, has raised a $40 million Series A round, equivalent to roughly £30 million, as it scales production of propulsion and aircraft technologies.

Blossom Capital led the round. The NATO Innovation Fund, the UK’s National Security Strategic Investment Fund, Tanglin Ventures and NSFO Family Office also participated.

Founded in 2022 by Manohar and Dr Monterzino, Greenjets says its patented engine technology improves aircraft safety while reducing the certification burden. Its proprietary propulsion architectures range from electric ducted fans through to geared turbofan engines.

The financing lands days after the company was selected, alongside Cambridge Aerospace and Frankenburg Technologies, under the Ministry of Defence’s Low-Cost Air Defence Effectors programme to develop a British low-cost drone interceptor.

Greenjets intends to use the capital to move from development into production, supporting delivery of thousands of systems over the next 12 months. The money will also fund work across its propulsion, aircraft and launch technology portfolio and support expansion with international partners and customers.
