Critical Materials Group has raised $10.3 million in a Seed round led by Overmatch Ventures, with Victory Six Advisors and Fulcrum Ventures participating.

CMG is a privately owned American manufacturer working on domestic energetics production, and it operates from Talpa, Texas.

Energetics is the industry term for the hazardous chemicals that make cruise missiles, mortars and grenades work. These compounds store large amounts of energy and release it very quickly. CMG is currently producing Composition-4, the plastic explosive better known as C-4, at a Texas facility for customers it has not named.

The money will accelerate development and commissioning of the company’s modular energetics production platform, expand the engineering and operations team, and advance regulatory milestones.

Founded in 2025, CMG has moved quickly to build technical credibility and government alignment in a defense sector defined by long procurement cycles and high barriers to entry.

Suppliers and service providers selling into newly funded manufacturers can work from verified contact data in the B2B Sales Leads List.
