Aranya Raises $11M to Build AI Clusters in 48 Hours

Aranya has raised $11 million in total, made up of a $9 million Seed round led by First Round Capital with BoxGroup, Vermilion Cliffs Ventures and Asylum Ventures participating, plus a $2 million pre-seed led by Asylum Ventures.

The company operates from San Francisco, and it turns raw bare-metal servers into customized, production-ready compute clusters, often in under 48 hours.

That speed is the product. Standing up GPU infrastructure by hand is slow and error-prone, and Aranya sells an open-source distributed operating system engine built on Kubernetes, called clusterdOS, that does the conversion instead.

The traction figure is worth pausing on. Aranya is already managing more than $500 million worth of GPUs, reached in less than a year since the company was founded.

Christian Bhatia Ondaatje is chief executive, alongside co-founders Sasivarnan Kanaghasalam Sathyapriya and Aryamika Bhatia Ondaatje. The platform also gives customers visibility into inference and training management, not just cluster provisioning.

Aranya sells to AI teams rather than building models of its own. Its California base puts it close to the customers buying that compute.
