Speakeasy, based in New York, has raised an oversubscribed $8.8 million round led by Patrick O’Shaughnessy’s Positive Sum. It is the company’s first institutional fundraise.

The Yamaha Music Innovations Fund joined the Seed round, alongside founders and executives from Seamless, TigerConnect, Genius, D.C. United, Swansea City FC and Tegus.

Speakeasy runs an all in one operations and intelligence platform for live experiences. It brings together ticketing, reservations and table management, payments, POS integrations, CRM, marketing and analytics for operators working in nightlife, sports and entertainment, festivals, membership clubs and live events.
