SONATA, a physician led preventive healthcare membership headquartered in New York, has launched with $7 million in Seed backing. Lux Capital, BoxGroup and Sunflower Capital funded the round, joined by angels including the founders of Ramp and Linear.
The service is live in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Sagan Schultz, M.D., who was the first product manager at Linear and previously a McKinsey healthcare consultant, co-founded the company in 2025 with David Deng, a first ten engineer at Ramp and a former member of the clinical genomics team at Flatiron Health.
A $2,500 annual membership covers whole genome sequencing, more than 140 blood biomarkers, DNA methylation analysis and wearable data integration, along with unlimited access to a physician led care team and clinical AI the company built in house.
On women’s health, SONATA’s physicians factor cycle phase awareness into hormone testing and follow patients over time, addressing a gap that has persisted in how hormonal health gets evaluated.
