SpeedLabs, a sports technology startup based in New York, has closed a $6.5 million Seed round led by Parlay Capital Holdings. The round was announced in early June 2026, with participation from Bullpen Capital, TA Ventures, and EdgeEquity, among other investors with backgrounds in sports, gaming, and consumer technology.
The company is building what it calls a real-time market engine for sports. Its main product, Momentum Markets, uses AI to create and price entirely new wagering markets during live games, rather than adjusting odds on existing ones.
Unlike traditional live betting, where sportsbooks adjust odds on pre-set markets such as a game spread or a player’s total points, SpeedLabs reads the flow of a live game using foundation AI models built specifically for sports and generates new markets in response to what just happened on the field.
SpeedLabs is positioning Momentum Markets as business-to-business infrastructure for sportsbooks and prediction market operators rather than a direct consumer product. The plan is for existing licensed platforms to integrate the engine and offer a new category of live, skill-based wagering. The company plans to use the funding to build out its team and launch Momentum Markets in summer 2026, hiring across leadership, engineering, machine learning, trading, sports betting, and growth functions.
