Runta, based in San Francisco, California, has raised $20 million in a Seed round led by Andreessen Horowitz. The round was announced on July 16, 2026 and puts the company’s post money valuation north of $100 million.

The company is building a stateful computer for every AI agent, with isolation and policy controls built directly into the execution layer. The aim is to give businesses infrastructure that lets them deploy AI agents without everything going sideways.

Alongside Andreessen Horowitz, the investor list includes Google DeepMind, World Labs, Databricks, Hugging Face, Jeff Dean, Fei-Fei Li, Ali Ghodsi, Ram Shriram and Thomas Wolf.

Founder Guanlan Dai previously built edge infrastructure at Cloudflare and Kong.
