Hadrius, an AI native compliance startup based in New York, has raised a $22 million Series A led by CRV. The round forms part of a combined $27 million across seed and Series A, with Y Combinator, Pathlight Ventures and angel investors including the founders of Altruist and Jump AI taking part.

The company sells compliance infrastructure built specifically for financial services firms, among them registered investment advisers, broker dealers, private funds and compliance consultants. Six agentic modules cover the core of a compliance program, giving oversight of a firm’s people, trading, marketing, communications, branch locations and compliance manual implementation.

More than 500 financial institutions already run compliance on the platform. Hadrius says the software cuts false positives by 95%, reduces manual review by 70% and saves over 20 hours per firm each week.

Founded in 2023 by Allen Calderwood, Som Mohapatra and Thomas Stewart, the company grew out of the founders’ own experience running an SEC registered investment adviser, where they started automating compliance work before turning it into a product. The new capital gives them room to push further on making compliance effortless for regulated financial firms.
