Velocity, a stablecoin treasury and settlement platform based in New York, has raised a $38 million Series A led by Dragonfly and FirstMark. Activant Capital, Capital One Ventures, QED Investors, Coinbase Ventures, Wintermute Ventures and Ripple joined the round.

The financing brings total capital raised to nearly $50 million since May 2025. The company itself was founded in 2025.

Velocity sells to global merchants, payment providers, fintechs and financial institutions that want to modernise treasury operations. The pitch is shorter settlement times, no prefunding requirements, and capital that moves more efficiently across borders.

Its platform lets chief financial officers and treasury teams hold, move and settle funds on stablecoin infrastructure, and is built to slot into existing business workflows rather than demanding crypto native knowledge from the people using it.
