Boom has raised $15 million in Series A funding. S3 Ventures led the round, with Mischief VC of San Francisco joining and continued backing from Starting Line VC, Gilgamesh Ventures and Company Ventures.

The company sells screening and leasing software to single family rental operators, and it works from New York.

Rob Whiting and Kirill Moizik started the business in 2020, with Whiting as chief executive and Moizik as chief technology officer. The first product was BoomReport, a consumer rent reporting tool that lets renters build credit by sending their payments to the major bureaus. Tenant screening followed with BoomScreen.

The newest piece is BoomCRM, which the company positions as a full leasing operating system tying together leasing, underwriting and rent reporting. Rather than selling three separate tools, Boom is now pitching operators one place where the whole lease cycle sits.

Firms selling payment, credit and underwriting products into newly funded companies can pull verified contacts through FinTech Lead Generation.
