Vector Legal, a San Francisco legal services company built around automation software, has closed a $5.19 million seed round led by Base10 Partners. The raise followed the company’s time in Y Combinator’s Winter 2026 batch.
Founded in 2026 by Mitch Duncombe and Keenan Venuti, Vector Legal runs as a hybrid law firm and product, handling work such as company formations, commercial contracts and trademarks. Y Combinator and angel investor Chris Smoak also took part in the round.
The company’s pitch is to bring down legal costs for startups by pairing a traditional law firm model with its own automation tools. Vector Legal says it is already profitable and expects to pass seven figures in revenue within its first year.
