Twenty, a cyber warfare company based in Arlington, Virginia, has raised a $100 million Series B round at a $1 billion valuation. The financing, announced on June 17, 2026, makes Twenty what it describes as America’s first VC-backed cyber warfare startup, and it pushes the company into unicorn territory.

The round was led by Accel, with participation from Friends & Family Capital, Point72 Ventures, and Caffeinated Capital. The raise brings Twenty’s total funding to $138 million.

Founded in 2024, Twenty is working to industrialize offensive cyber operations for the United States and its allies. The company builds AI-enabled, end-to-end systems for the US military and the Intelligence Community, an area that has historically been the preserve of government programs rather than venture-backed startups.

That positioning is unusual. Offensive cyber capability has long sat inside classified government work, and Twenty is betting that a commercial company applying AI to the problem can move faster and build more capable systems than traditional channels allow.

The new capital will go toward aggressively expanding the company’s engineering and research teams. The goal is to speed up deployment of its AI-driven cyber systems, which the company frames as a way to protect democratic institutions around the world.

Reaching a $1 billion valuation within two years of founding is a steep climb, and it reflects how much investor attention defense and national security technology has been drawing. With $100 million in fresh capital, Twenty is set to scale a category that few private companies have tried to build inside.
