Prosper AI, a New York based AI company focused on healthcare administration, has raised $30 million in Series A funding. Andreessen Horowitz led the round, with participation from Base10, Emergence Capital, Y Combinator, and Company Ventures.

The company was founded in 2023 by Xavier de Gracia and Josep Mingot. It initially worked across several industries before narrowing its focus to healthcare in 2024.

Prosper AI’s platform takes on the administrative phone work that bogs down medical practices. It answers patient calls, schedules appointments directly in the electronic health record, verifies insurance benefits, automates patient billing, and calls insurers when more information is needed.

The company reports strong momentum, with revenue up fivefold, more than 40 healthcare organizations added as customers, and reach across more than 150,000 healthcare providers. It says it now manages $1.3 billion in patient care.

The new funding will go toward expanding the engineering and customer-facing teams, integrating with more electronic health record platforms, and scaling adoption across health systems and provider groups.
