Petit Pot, a food startup in Emeryville, California that makes French-inspired refrigerated desserts in its own facility, has raised a seven-figure Series A. The round was co-led by Eclair Partners and Terri and John Penshorn, with long-standing shareholders also participating. The exact amount was not disclosed. The company announced the financing on September 8, 2026.
Maxime Pouvreau founded Petit Pot in 2014. Until now the company has been funded by angel investors, who helped it build out in-house manufacturing. This Series A is its first institutional round, and the money will go toward faster product innovation and wider distribution.
The lineup includes Creamy French Desserts, sold in glass jars and made with organic ingredients; Creamy French Puddings, sold in 3.5 ounce and 14 ounce paper cups; and the newest addition, Creamy French Puddings with Protein, in 3.5 ounce paper cups.
Eclair Partners is a New York investment and advisory firm focused on scalable food brands in North America, founded by Laurent Marcel, the former CEO of Danone’s venture capital arm. The firm pointed to Petit Pot’s combination of brand, product quality, and manufacturing know-how, and to the rarity of a young food brand with that level of control over its own production.
