Metris Energy has raised $5 million in a Seed round led by PT1 Ventures, Octopus Ventures, AENU and Blackfinch Ventures. Plug and Play and Love Ventures also participated, and the round takes the company’s total funding to $7.5 million.

Metris is based in London, in the UK. It runs an AI-native platform for managing energy assets. After launching in 2025, it first helped solar portfolio operators reconcile data scattered across inverters, meters, SCADA systems, CRMs, spreadsheets and finance tools. It has since widened its aim to building a unified data layer for the broader energy sector.

The problem Metris targets is fragmentation. As grids decentralize and new revenue streams such as flexibility, curtailment management, community energy and corporate PPAs emerge, the data needed to tap them often sits across many different systems. The platform pulls together data from asset systems, metering, SCADA, GIS and energy markets into a continuously updated record of physical energy assets. Owners get a real-time view of their portfolios, and the same data feeds automated workflows, natural-language queries, revenue management and AI agents.

Alongside the funding, the company launched Metria AI, an interface built to carry out complex tasks that operations teams used to handle by hand. Founder and CEO Natasha Jones leads the business.

Metris reports eightfold year-on-year revenue growth and now manages more than 10,000 solar plants representing 500MW of capacity for power producers. The new money will expand the platform’s agentic capabilities, extend it into wind and Combined Heat and Power systems, and support growth across Europe, especially Germany, where it has already signed several new customers.

Energy data providers, hardware suppliers and operations software vendors can get verified founder contacts at newly funded software startups every week with B2B SaaS Leads.
