Karoo Health, a health technology company based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has closed an oversubscribed $16.2 million Series A to grow its cardiovascular care platform. 7wire Ventures and Allumia Ventures co-led the round, which the company announced on July 21, 2026.
First Trust Capital Partners, SpringRock Ventures, Hyde Park Angels, and other investors also took part. Karoo is building what it calls an operating system for cardiovascular care, a platform that connects payers, providers, and patients through a shared data and workflow layer meant to support earlier risk detection, better care coordination, and improved outcomes.
The company plans to put the capital toward further development of its AI-native cardiovascular platform, including predictive models, clinical signal detection, and care coordination infrastructure. It also intends to expand partnerships with health plans and cardiology practices across the United States.
Karoo currently supports a network of more than 600 cardiovascular providers across 11 states and runs programs with national and regional health plans. Independent analyses of its deployed programs found reductions of more than 40 percent in emergency department visits and inpatient admissions, along with early signs of a greater than 10 percent drop in total healthcare costs across attributed patient groups.
