Heaviside Industries announced a $60 million Series B on August 12, 2026, led by Felicis with significant participation from Hedosophia. Menlo Ventures, Cantos, Flume Ventures, Qstar Capital, Friends & Family Capital, Anorak Ventures and MVP Ventures also joined. The round values the company at $600 million.

The timing is the striking part. Heaviside came out of stealth three months ago.

The Los Angeles company builds multi domain precision munitions platforms, and it disclosed a strategic partnership with Nammo at the same time as the raise. Under that arrangement, the Norwegian aerospace and defense group will supply warheads for Heaviside’s platforms, pairing Heaviside’s autonomous systems with Nammo’s manufacturing capability and existing supply chain.

That partnership addresses the constraint most defense startups run into. Building an autonomous system is one problem. Producing munitions at volume, with the certifications and supplier relationships that requires, is a different one entirely, and it is where new entrants usually stall.

A $600 million valuation on a company barely out of stealth reflects how much capital is moving toward defense technology in California at the moment.
