RadiantOps has come out of stealth with $7 million in Seed funding led by Foundation Capital. Vermilion Cliffs Ventures, Essence, Vela, and MKT1 also participated.

The company, based in Durango, Colorado, turns code, collaboration, tickets, and agent runs into a single view of what engineering work is actually happening.

The premise is that the engineering dashboard was designed for a world where code moved at the speed of human hands and one quarter looked much like the last. Agents ended that. The volume of engineering work has risen sharply, the constraint has shifted from writing code to judging it, and the important problem in a given week is often something nobody thought to chart.

RadiantOps connects to systems a team already uses and groups related activity into episodes of work: what changed, where it came from, who understood it, and how it compares with the team’s own history. It surfaces the episodes worth a leader’s attention and attaches the underlying changes, review comments, and artifacts, so anything it flags can be checked rather than taken on faith. Because agents now write a large share of the code, the product marks which changes an agent produced, what they cost, and how often they need redoing.

Co-founder and CEO Travis Kimmel has been here before. He and Ben Thompson founded GitPrime in Durango in 2015, one of the first companies to measure engineering work from version control data. They went through Y Combinator’s W16 batch and sold to Pluralsight for $170 million in cash in 2019, after which a generation of competitors followed into the category they had opened.

Sigmon Myers is the third co-founder. The funding will grow the engineering team and put the product in front of more engineering organizations.

Vendors selling developer tools and engineering software can get verified contacts at newly funded software startups every week through Software Development Leads.
