Aron has launched with $8 million in funding raised across two rounds. Menlo Ventures led the first, and Storm Ventures led the more recent $6 million Seed investment. The company is based in San Francisco. Its AI agents take work off procurement teams.

Founder and CEO Dominic Toselli previously ran Worldwide Logistics Procurement at Apple, which explains the specificity of the problem Aron picked.

Procurement teams find suppliers through a request for quote, asking several prospective vendors to bid on the same contract. Bids contain a price and delivery terms, and buyers compare submissions and pick the best proposal. Historically that has meant a lot of manual work: chasing suppliers who miss deadlines, and clarifying missing or wrong details in the bids that do arrive.

Aron’s cloud platform spins up agents that take over that back-and-forth. They collect bids by email, send follow-ups, and organize the data. Companies usually set up dedicated collection portals to manage RFQ projects, and Aron says its agents remove the need for those, which cuts the associated software spend.

The automation continues past the award. When a supplier submits a contract, the agents scan it for problems by comparing each proposed clause against the company’s internal procurement policies. After signing, the platform flags invoices that diverge from the contracted price and warns users ahead of contracts that renew automatically.

The agents make decisions using a knowledge graph that links an organization’s invoices, supplier contracts, and related documents, files that are hard to review by hand because companies scatter them across different systems.

The California company claims customers see a return within three weeks of deployment and that the RFQ workflow shortens by an average of 21%. That pitch won several mid-market and Fortune 10 clients before launch. The funding will go toward improving the platform and expanding the engineering team.
