Crux Analytics has raised €1.9 million in Seed round funding, taking its total raised to €2.8 million. Castle Creek Launchpad, a joint venture fund with 34 community banks as limited partners, led the round. Credit union investment funds Chartway Ventures, One Washington Financial and Curql also took part.

The company is based in New York. It is a fintech that helps financial institutions win and keep small business clients.

British brothers Jacob and Nathan Bennett founded Crux in 2023. Jacob, now CEO, is a former small business owner and consultant to Fortune 500 companies who saw how often traditional lenders underserved smaller firms compared with larger ones. Nathan serves as CTO.

Serving small businesses depends on relationships, and that takes people. Large banks can hire more staff, but smaller institutions need tools that make each employee more productive. Today, bank and credit union staff spend most of their time on the operational work behind a deal rather than on the relationship with the business owner.

Crux replaces the traditional sales enablement stack with what it calls a sales execution engine. The platform runs agentic business development workflows that help users find, research and rank promising prospects, send targeted personalised outreach and keep watch on relationships as they change. The goal is for institutions to win more small business clients, deepen existing ones and hold on to them longer.

The new money will be used to grow the team and speed up product development.

Core banking vendors, compliance firms and marketing agencies that serve community banks can get verified contacts at newly funded fintech startups every week through FinTech Lead Generation.
