Corridor has raised a $25 million Seed round led by Bain Capital Ventures. BoxGroup took part, along with executives from OpenAI, Scale AI and Ramp.

Corridor is based in New York. The startup is building an AI-driven health benefits brokerage for small businesses.

That customer group is often passed over by traditional brokerages. Small accounts earn lower commissions than large ones, yet they take just as much time to service. On Corridor’s platform, customers work with human advisors while AI agents take care of administrative jobs in the background. The company says its agents can check whether a doctor is in a customer’s insurance network, schedule care and send a doctor updated insurance information.

Nikhil Aggarwal is CEO. The idea took shape after co-founder Jackson Wagner, a former product lead at Scale AI, was hurt in a running accident and the poor handling of his care left him with chronic pain. Wagner left Scale AI in July 2022, earned a master’s degree in computer science and electrical engineering at UC Berkeley and joined Build Robotics in 2023. He later teamed up with former Scale AI colleague Eric Qian on Capernaum AI, a startup building a clinical agent for musculoskeletal care and chronic pain.

When the pair approached Cold Start about funding Capernaum, Aggarwal, then a partner there alongside Jason Dong, saw a bigger opportunity. The four went on to launch Corridor together.

Corridor competes with companies such as Ignition Benefits and Nava Benefits, and it is now gearing up for the fourth quarter, when most small businesses pick their health plans.

Care navigation, pharmacy and digital health vendors can get verified C-suite contacts at newly funded healthcare startups every week through Healthcare Sales Leads.
