Beeline Medicines, based in Boston, Massachusetts, has closed a $126.3 million extension to its Series A, lifting the total round to $426.3 million. The company announced the financing on June 30, 2026.
The biotech raised the money only about two and a half months after it emerged from stealth with $300 million and five autoimmune programs licensed from Bristol Myers Squibb. The extension again drew on existing backers Bain Capital, the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, and Bristol Myers Squibb.
Beeline will put the funding toward its lead program, afimetoran, a selective small molecule TLR7/8 inhibitor taken once daily that the company hopes can become a leading oral treatment for lupus. The money will also support the start of several clinical studies across its immunology portfolio.
The company has begun preparing for pivotal development in lupus ahead of an expected Phase 2 readout in systemic lupus erythematosus in the second half of 2026.
