Zakat Coin, which trades as ZKTC, raised $5 million in four days through an offering on the Coinstore exchange, according to an announcement made on August 11, 2026. The raise was led by chief technology officer Arslan Naseem, and chief executive AJ Erakat announced the result.
The company, based in Newark, Delaware, describes itself as a blockchain based financial ecosystem built around digital payments and charitable transactions. Its application, ZakPay, combines peer to peer transfers, international remittances and digital payment functionality in a single place.
What distinguishes the product from other payment apps is the charitable layer. Eligible users can fold Zakat and Sadaqah, the obligatory and voluntary forms of Islamic giving, directly into supported transactions rather than treating charity as a separate step.
The listing itself is the distribution strategy here, since it widens access to the platform at the same time as it raises capital. Zakat Coin returned to Coinstore for a second round beginning August 12, 2026, targeting 2,000,000 USDT against an allocation of 200,000,000 ZKTC.
