Fisent Technologies closed a $4.3 million investment round on August 11, 2026, led by FINTOP, a venture firm whose limited partner network includes roughly 100 banks and financial services companies. Pegasystems, already a strategic investor, participated again.
This was the Toronto company’s first priced venture round, and it brings total funding to $6.3 million US, or $8.8 million Canadian. John Philpott, a partner at FINTOP, joins the board as part of the deal.
Fisent works in applied generative AI process automation, which in its case means a product called BizAI. The software reads and processes content inside complex enterprise workflows, taking on the repetitive, knowledge dependent tasks that resist conventional automation because they require someone to actually understand a document before acting on it.
The customer base is the part that gives the round its shape. Fisent is in production with Fortune 500 organizations in banking, insurance and wealth management, sectors where compliance requirements have made companies cautious about turning AI loose on live workflows. FINTOP’s bank heavy investor base lines up neatly with that.
The money goes toward expanding the enterprise go to market team, deepening customer enablement and deployment engineering, accelerating product work and widening distribution through workflow and technology partners.
