Go.AI™ has raised $85 million in Series A funding, taking its total raised to $90 million. Updata Partners led the round, and existing investors GFT Ventures and LAUNCH participated.

The company is based in Chicago. It sells on-premises, examiner-ready AI infrastructure to regulated industries, including banks, credit unions, healthcare, aerospace and defense, and manufacturing. Its hardware and software run inside a customer’s existing systems and governance frameworks, which is the draw for organizations where control, auditability and regulatory readiness matter most.

The raise comes shortly after the company changed its name from Go Abacus earlier this month. It also caps a year that started with the launch of The Go1™, which Go.AI describes as the industry’s first on-prem AI hardware and software solution for regulated organizations.

Growth over the past year has been quick. Go.AI now has more than 200 customers, annual recurring revenue is up more than 8x year over year, and the company remains profitable. Customer deployments handle more than 12.5 million queries a day, with financial services, healthcare, aerospace and defense, and manufacturing as the main focus areas.

The Illinois company will use the funding to expand its engineering team, speed up development of its Go.OS software operating system and its hardware line, and scale go-to-market efforts as it reaches beyond regulated industries into a wider set of compliance-minded organizations. It also plans to keep hiring and to invest heavily in training and client advisory, including an upcoming company podcast series and expanded marketing aimed at countering fear-based narratives about AI adoption.

David Moscatelli and Lisa Gillespie co-founded the company, and Moscatelli serves as CEO.

Managed service providers, hardware resellers and security consultancies that sell into regulated enterprises can get verified contacts at newly funded tech companies every week through Lead Generation for IT Services.
