Luminary, a New York, New York company that builds an AI-native platform for wealth transfer and estate administration, has raised $22 million in Series A funding. The round was reported on September 10, 2026.
Ten Coves Capital led the Series A. BNY, 8VC, Fin Capital, Focus Financial Partners, Rockefeller Capital Management’s FinTech Innovation Fund, and several family offices also invested. Luminary has now raised close to $32 million in total.
The company will use the money to keep building its AI capabilities and integrations, push further into administration workflows, and grow its commercial team.
Led by CEO David Barnard, Luminary turns estate and ownership documents into structured data. That data then drives scenario modeling, beneficiary outcome and tax modeling, exemption tracking, trust and entity structuring, and secure collaboration among the multiple parties involved in a wealth transfer. Product features include Luminary Insights, Estate 360, standardized reporting templates, a deterministic tax engine, and estate waterfall visualizations.
Customers include Caprock, IEQ Capital, and Wealth Enhancement Group.
