Resolutiion has raised $10.4 million to help companies spot commercial disputes early, before they turn expensive. Cherry Ventures, Octopus Ventures, LocalGlobe, and Auxxo, which backs women founders across Europe, are among the investors in the Seed round.

The London company was founded in 2022 by Fayola-Maria Jack and now employs 18 people. Her background explains the product. Jack ran the commercial transformation of the Royal Air Force’s £6 billion operations, then moved to the UK Cabinet Office to lead the Complex Transactions Team. She supported the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs through the UK‘s exit from the EU, and set up the government’s first Commercial Dispute Resolutiion Practice. She holds an MBA from UCL and is a PhD candidate working on dispute resolution and behavioural science.

Running multi-billion-pound contracts taught her that by the time a dispute reaches the legal team, most of the value has already gone.

The numbers support the concern. Around one in five commercial relationships hits a dispute, with losses running from £50 million to £90 million per £1 billion of contracted revenue.

Resolutiion pulls data from live commercial relationships, including emails, project trackers, invoices, and supplier messages. Its AI system, Octavia, runs on proprietary OctaviaCore technology to detect early signs of trouble. If a supplier starts missing deadlines, the system can pick up the pattern in messages and delivery data weeks before anyone files a formal claim, then help coordinate what happens next across the parties involved.

The team includes people from Darktrace, Klarna, Everlaw, Luminance, Uber, Accenture, and KPMG.

The competitive picture is worth understanding. Luminance raised $75 million last year, bringing its total to $115 million, and Robin AI has raised over $50 million across two rounds. Both work on preparing and negotiating contracts before signature. Resolutiion deals with what happens after signing, once work has started, which is harder because it means predicting conflicts rather than reading terms.

The contract management software market is expected to grow from $3.65 billion in 2026 to $9.62 billion by 2034. Resolutiion sits in a distinct space alongside it, focused on post-signature commercial conflict and delivery risk, and is now moving into defence and energy, where a missed commercial commitment costs far more than a documentation error.

Whether a deeptech operating layer for corporate disputes becomes its own category or stays a well-funded niche is unsettled, and the answer probably depends less on the technology than on whether companies will trust an AI system with real conflicts between clients.

Software vendors selling into enterprise legal, procurement, and commercial teams can get verified contacts at newly funded companies every week through B2B SaaS Leads.
