Sophia Space, a Pasadena, California company, has closed a $7 million SAFE financing, bringing its total funding to $22 million. The round was announced on June 23, 2026.

The company builds AI powered technologies and infrastructure for the emerging space economy, combining artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, and aerospace engineering. The aim is to push forward the convergence of AI and space technology.

The round drew participation from EverGreen, the Nvidia Alumni Investment Network, SparkLabs Group, and other strategic investors who share the company’s focus on bringing artificial intelligence and space systems closer together.

Sophia Space plans to use the capital to expand product development, grow its engineering and commercial teams, accelerate strategic partnerships, and support deployment of its platform across government, commercial, and international markets.

The raise reflects rising investor interest in applying AI and autonomy to space infrastructure as the commercial space sector continues to expand.
