Unplugs Hearing has raised $3.4 million according to a recent SEC filing. Forty three investors took part in this close, which is part of a total offering of $6.6 million.
The company makes mechanical earplugs with a transparency mode, letting a wearer toggle between hearing protection and ambient sound without taking them out. It is a consumer hardware product rather than an electronic one, which puts it in a smaller category than the noise control devices most people think of first.
