Smallest.ai, a San Francisco research lab building real time voice AI infrastructure for enterprises, has raised $13 million in Series A funding. Seligman Ventures led the round, with Sierra Ventures and 3one4 Capital taking part. The raise lifts the company’s total funding to more than $21 million.
The company designs its systems to listen, reason, act and respond at the same time rather than in sequence. Its technology runs on proprietary models, including the Hydra speech to speech model, the Pulse STT Pro speech to text model and the Lightning V3.1 text to speech model. Together they deliver responses in under a second and support 38 languages, along with features such as speaker separation, emotion detection and automatic redaction of sensitive payment and personal data.
Smallest.ai plans to use the money to grow its voice platform across financial services, healthcare, contact centers and business process outsourcing. Its current customers include RingCentral and Truecaller.
