Sapiom has raised $35 million in a Series A to expand the infrastructure platform it sells for deploying, operating and scaling AI agents. The company is based in San Francisco, California.
Dragonfly led the round. Accel, Gradient, Coinbase Ventures, Operator Collective, Formus Capital and VanEck Ventures all took part, alongside existing backers Okta Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Anthropic and Array Ventures.
The pace here is worth noting. Sapiom closed a $15 million seed round six months ago. With this raise, the company has taken in $50 million in total, less than a year after it was founded.
The problem Sapiom targets sits after the demo. Building an agent that works once is one thing. Running that agent continuously, reliably, under control, and at a cost that still makes sense at volume is a different exercise, and that is the gap the company is trying to close.
Usage suggests the pitch has found buyers. Since launching six months ago, Sapiom has processed more than 270 million transactions and now supports over 100,000 agent runs per day. One customer cut its inference costs by 75 percent after moving its agents onto the platform.
