Senra Systems Raises $65M Series B for Wire Harnesses

Senra Systems, a wire harness manufacturer based in Redondo Beach, California, has raised a $65 million Series B co-led by Lowercarbon Capital and Interlagos. Total funding now exceeds $112 million.

General Catalyst, Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, Dylan Field, CIV, 8VC, The Friedkin Group, Jaws Estates Capital, Sozo Ventures and Alumni Ventures also participated.

Former SpaceX engineers Jordan Black and Benjamin Shanahan co-founded the company. Its software modernises wire harness manufacturing, a process still done largely by hand. The manufacturing model runs on Amp, a proprietary platform that pulls quoting, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain management and production workflows into one system.

Factory 2, newly opened in Cypress, expanded the production footprint fivefold with roughly 80,000 square feet of manufacturing space. That capacity supports a jump from an average of 1,000 harnesses a month to 10,000 by next year.

The $65 million will fund a third factory, grow the engineering team and extend the company’s first United States pilots.
