Resect AI has come out of stealth with $25 million in early funding, announced on September 3, 2026. The company did not name its backers, saying only that the money came from private equity investors.
Its team of scientists and engineers is based in Washougal, Washington, and the plan is to build an accountability layer for enterprise AI.
The technical approach is the interesting part. Instead of scoring text after a model has produced it, Resect says its patented method works in-stream, watching what happens inside a model while it generates, spotting the internal behaviors that lead to fabricated output, and changing them as they occur.
That puts the company in front of industries where factual accuracy and AI governance carry weight, including publishing, finance, healthcare, research and education.
The funding will go toward research and development, go-to-market work, and hiring in the greater Seattle and Portland markets.
The financing is recorded as a Seed round, which is a large one by the standards of that stage.
Vendors selling governance, tooling and infrastructure into enterprise software teams can reach newly funded buyers through B2B SaaS Leads.
