Mach42, an AI company based in Oxford, England, has raised £7 million to speed up the simulation of analog circuits used in semiconductor design. IP Group led the round, with existing investors BGF and Foresight Group also taking part. The company announced the raise in July 2026.

Spun out of the University of Oxford’s Department of Physics in 2019, Mach42 raised its first seed round in 2021 before narrowing its focus to a stubborn bottleneck in the chip industry, the verification of complex analog circuits. The company uses machine learning to build high-accuracy models that help engineering teams cut development time, lower computing costs, and fit faster simulation into the electronic design automation tools they already use.

With the new capital, Mach42 plans to expand its engineering and business development teams and push for wider commercial adoption of its technology.
