NxLite Closes $13.1M Series A for Energy Control Coatings

NxLite, a coatings company based in Kitchener, Ontario, has announced the final close of its Series A financing alongside a $3.5 million debt facility from RSF Social Finance.

The round reached $13.1 million in total. Its first close was announced in October 2025 at $9.2 million, and the final tally oversubscribed the company’s original $10 million target. Crabtree Lane Alt, LLC led the financing.

VoLo Earth Ventures came in as a new investor. Earth Foundry, MUUS, New Climate Ventures and ACT Venture Partners continued their participation, as did strategic investors from the door, window and building industries. Erin Sawyer, a technology supply chain leader, has joined the board of directors.

NxLite develops air stable, energy efficient and lightweight glass and glass like solutions. Its proprietary permanent low emissivity coatings can be applied to both glass and polymeric substrates. The capital is earmarked for scaling manufacturing.
