Gridcog, an energy transition software company headquartered in London, has raised £7 million in a Series A round to fund European expansion and further product development. The financing was led by DNV Ventures and comes alongside a strategic partnership with DNV.
The company was started by repeat founders Fabian Le Gay Brereton and Pete Tickler, and now runs offices in London, Berlin, Madrid, Perth and Melbourne. Gridcog builds fast, transparent and auditable simulations that replace slow, error-prone spreadsheets, helping developers, energy majors and consultants make quicker investment decisions on clean energy projects.
With the new capital, Gridcog plans a selective push into new markets alongside continued work on its modeling platform.
