Handshake, an AI-powered retail agreement platform based in London, England in the United Kingdom, has announced a $3.2 million Seed round led by Triple Point Ventures. The round was announced on June 1, 2026, with participation from Future Back Ventures by Bain & Company, Octopus Ventures, and other retail technology investors.
Founded in 2024, Handshake helps retailers, wholesalers, and suppliers make, track, and execute commercial agreements in one transparent system. The aim is to reduce operational complexity and improve commercial decision-making.
The funding will accelerate Handshake’s product development, expand its engineering and customer success teams, and support deeper partnerships with leading retailers and suppliers.
The opportunity is large. Commercial agreements that underpin an $18.8 trillion industry still lean heavily on spreadsheets, email chains, siloed systems, and informal handshake deals, with fewer than half of suppliers holding written agreements with the retailers they sell to.
