Discern Security, a Sunnyvale, California company building an agent driven cybersecurity platform, has raised $13 million in Series A funding. Forgepoint Capital led the round, which was announced on July 30, 2026.
First Rays Ventures, Growth Enjin Partners, Vela Ventures and a group of angel investors also took part. Founded in 2023, Discern Security offers what it describes as an AI native security workspace that helps organizations continuously assess and strengthen the security controls they already have.
Alongside the raise, the company launched Agentic Loops, part of its Discern Security Loop platform. The system works through autonomous agents that keep evaluating an organization’s security posture and suggest improvements over time.
The company plans to use the money to speed up development and adoption of the platform, grow its engineering and product teams, expand its library of AI skills and autonomous capabilities and scale its operations.
