Apothékary, a plant-based wellness brand based in Falls Church, Virginia, has raised $16 million as part of its Series A. The financing combined $10 million in venture capital with $6 million in debt, and drew participation from Shiseido, NextLevel Management, and roughly 50 angel investors and family offices.

Founded in 2020, the company built its name on herbal tinctures pitched as gentler substitutes for alcohol and other daily habits. Management plans to put the new money toward wider retail distribution and the development of additional products.

The brand has moved quickly into national chains, entering Ulta Beauty in July 2025, Whole Foods in January 2026, and The Vitamin Shoppe in May 2026. Those additions sit alongside existing distribution through Free People, Sprouts, and Amazon, and the company is aiming for roughly $40 million in sales during 2026.

With this round, Apothékary has now raised about $32 million in total across equity and debt. The investment points to steady appetite among backers for consumer brands working in the broader health and wellness market.
