PSI describes itself as an AI-native physics lab staffed by virtual physicists. The stated goals are building higher-fidelity world models, engineering physical systems beyond what humans design, and eventually discovering new physical laws.
Its core platform is called Emmy, named for the physicist Amalie Emmy Noether. Emmy is a collection of virtual physicists running on a sovereign reasoning engine, backed by a curated inventory of simulations.
The first commercial application is closer to the ground than the framing suggests. PSI is aiming Emmy at AI data centers and AI factories, terrestrial and orbital, using physics-native reasoning and simulation to work through multiphysics design problems that cut across power, cooling, network and compute.
