Sweet Technologies has closed $7.4 million in Seed round financing led by Diagram of Montreal, Builders VC of San Francisco and Cooperative Ventures of Illinois. The round was all primary capital, structured as a mix of equity and simple agreements for future equity, and it closed during the second quarter.
The company runs from Boulder and Montreal, and it previously operated under the name Landjourney before rebranding to Sweet.
Its flagship platform, SweetAg, uses AI to change how financial institutions originate and service loans to farmers and agribusinesses. Lenders can complete processes that used to take weeks in a matter of days.
Luke Johnson is chief executive. He founded the company in 2024 with Jeremie Bedard.
The next move is wider than agriculture. Sweet plans to start serving firms doing other kinds of commercial lending, using the same origination, servicing and capital markets tooling. The Colorado and Quebec offices carry that work between them.
Companies selling software and services into lenders can reach newly funded buyers through FinTech Lead Generation.
