Starcloud has announced a $250 million Series A extension at a $2.3 billion post money valuation. Total capital raised since the company was founded in 2024 now stands at $450 million.
Manhattan West led the round. Existing investors Benchmark, EQT, Soma, NFX and 776 took part alongside others, and a set of new names joined including NVIDIA, Cisco Investments, Cedar Capital, Goanna Capital and Standard Capital.
The company builds data centers in space, aiming at the energy bottleneck that limits how much AI compute can be brought online. Starcloud put its first satellite, Starcloud-1, into orbit in November 2025. That spacecraft carried the first data center grade GPU flown in space, roughly 100 times more GPU compute than had previously been in orbit, and it was the first to train an AI model off the planet.
Starcloud runs from Redmond, and production lines for the next generation Starcloud-3 spacecraft are being set up at a new 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Woodinville. Both sites sit in Washington.
