Procode AI, a Los Angeles company applying artificial intelligence to surgical billing, has raised a $10 million Series A round led by Health Velocity Capital. The financing brings its total capital raised to $14 million and was announced on July 28, 2026.
Founded in 2024, Procode builds billing infrastructure aimed at cutting administrative work and improving reimbursement so surgeons can spend more time on patient care. Its platform pulls automated coding, billing team workflow software and real time financial reporting into one system.
The company plans to use the money to fund two acquisitions and to widen its coverage across surgical specialties and ambulatory surgery center billing. The round follows Procode’s purchase of The Auctus Group, a revenue cycle management company known for its work with plastic surgeons and dermatologists, and the publication of its first peer reviewed study in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Global Open, the official open access journal of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
In a review of 120 surgical cases, Procode reported 86.7% coding accuracy, compared with 42.5% for professional auditors and 35.8% for the strongest general purpose model it tested.
