Isometric, a London based company that has become the world’s largest certifier of carbon removal by contracted volume, has raised $40 million in Series A funding. The company plans to take its AI powered certification platform beyond carbon and into the wider industrial economy.

The round was led by AVP, formerly AXA Venture Partners, whose anchor investor is the global insurer AXA. Every existing institutional investor took part, including Lowercarbon Capital and Plural, joined by personal investments from Kleiner Perkins chairman John Doerr and investor Walter Kortschak.

Founded in 2022 by Eamon Jubbawy, Isometric has been contracted to certify more than 16 million tonnes of carbon removal. It holds accreditations from major industry bodies ICVCM, ICROA, and CORSIA, and counts Microsoft, Anglo American, JPMorganChase, and Boeing among its clients.

The new funding is aimed at a market Isometric pegs at $350 billion globally, covering regulatory compliance, safety standards, and sustainability requirements across industrial sectors. The expansion reflects a bet that the same rigor the company applied to carbon markets can be carried into broader industrial certification.
