Infinimmune has raised $75 million in a Series A financing co led by Regeneron Ventures and Playground Global. The investor list runs long: RA Capital Management, Goldcrest Capital, Forge Life Science Partners, Godfrey Capital, Wild Tree Ventures, Merck Global Health Innovation Fund, Everbright Biofund, Civilization Ventures and Pear VC all joined.

The Alameda, California company develops antibody therapeutics drawn directly from the human immune system rather than engineered from animal models, an approach it runs through what it calls its Anthrobody discovery platform.

Two candidates sit at the front of the pipeline, both aimed at atopic dermatitis. IFX-101 targets IL-22 and IFX-201 targets IL-13. Infinimmune is preparing to begin first in human studies of those lead programs in 2027.

The funding is meant to speed clinical development of the two eczema programs, support additional programs built on the same human first biology, and keep the discovery platform running across new targets.

Backing from Regeneron Ventures carries some weight here, given the parent company’s own history in antibody discovery, and it puts a strategic investor alongside the financial ones in a crowded biotech category.
