Exabits Secures $15 Million in Seed Funding to Revolutionize AI Compute Landscape with GPU Tokenization
Exabits, a pioneering compute-base layer platform, has recently secured a significant $15 million seed funding round led by Hack VC, along with several other investors. This investment follows a previous round led by Portal Ventures and underscores the company’s commitment to transforming high-end GPU clusters into accessible investment assets.
Established in 2021, Exabits has been incubated by prestigious institutions such as the Stanford Blockchain Accelerator, Berkeley Xcelerator, and notably, it is the first and only blockchain project supported by the Harvard Innovation Labs. The company’s innovative approach to computing financialization provides investors with a unique opportunity to invest in the future of AI.
The funding will be strategically allocated towards research and development, brand creation, technology improvement, and operational excellence. Exabits’ proprietary software and hardware enable it to offer a trusted base layer provider for decentralized marketplaces and Web 2.0 companies, maximizing compute output to generate user value.
Since its launch, Exabits has demonstrated remarkable growth, with revenue surging at an average of 300% each quarter. This highlights its value proposition and strong market demand, resulting in a total of $10 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR). The company’s valuation stands at $150 million, reflecting its potential to redefine the AI compute landscape.
Exabits’ co-founder, Dr. Hoansoo Lee, emphasized the company’s vision: “At Exabits, our goal is to redefine the AI compute landscape by positioning compute resources as valuable financial assets. The performance of GPU compute has outpaced both Bitcoin and gold, demonstrating a clear upward trajectory. AI’s impact on the world is only scratching the surface, and we are excited to be at the forefront of this evolution, driving growth and market traction through the development of our advanced infrastructure and unique GPU tokenization model.”
In a recent development, Exabits announced the integration of 4,000 NVIDIA H200 GPUs into its network. These GPUs are equipped with advanced TEE (Trusted Execution Environment) capabilities, providing secure and verifiable AI computations while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. This significant upgrade positions Exabits as a leader in the crypto space, with in-house expertise to manage and scale a 4,000 GPU H200 architecture.
The new GPU infrastructure has been strategically deployed across the U.S. and Europe, interconnected by 3.2T InfiniBand architecture, to deliver the ultra-fast communication necessary for large-scale AI model pre-training. This configuration enables Exabits to serve some of the most demanding enterprise clients, including those in autonomous driving, healthcare, and financial modeling sectors.
Exabits plans to allocate a portion of its resources to accelerate advancements in science and technology, particularly in DeSci and AI Agent communities. The company’s collaboration with Seoul National University, providing computing and processing power to the Vehicle Intelligence Lab, further underscores its commitment to driving innovation in AI and blockchain.
With its advanced infrastructure and unique GPU tokenization model, Exabits is poised to revolutionize the AI compute landscape. The company’s recent funding and strategic partnerships position it as a key player in the AI and blockchain sectors, driving growth and market traction through its innovative approach to computing financialization.
