ChipAgents has expanded its Series A round with a fresh $60 million, giving the Goleta, California company more room to push automation deeper into semiconductor design. The raise was announced on July 29, 2026.

The business builds software driven by AI agents, programs that can make decisions and carry out multi step tasks with little human direction. Applied to chip design, that approach is meant to compress work that has traditionally taken engineering teams years to finish. Designing a single chip can run into hundreds of millions of dollars and stretch across long development cycles, which helps explain why automated tooling in this area keeps drawing investor attention.

B Capital led the additional financing. With this money in hand, ChipAgents has now raised $131 million in total. Earlier backers of the company include Micron, MediaTek and Ericsson.

Alongside the funding, ChipAgents said it is widening its work with Nvidia. That expanded collaboration centers on building the company’s specialized AI model aimed specifically at chip design. ChipAgents currently employs roughly 64 people.

The idea behind the round is that agent based systems can take on the slow and costly parts of building semiconductors, handing engineers a quicker path from concept to working silicon.
