CAMO Hospitality has closed a $4 million Seed round to fund expansion across the United States. The raise follows revenue growth of more than 200 percent year over year.

The pitch is straightforward. Most hotels lost in room dining to third party delivery apps because running a kitchen for room service stopped making financial sense. CAMO gives the hotel its own branded room service back without requiring a kitchen or kitchen staff, handling the ordering technology, fulfillment through local kitchens, delivery logistics and guest support behind the scenes.

The investor list is heavy on operators. Anthony Lacavera, founder and chairman of Globalive, Rajan Hansji, chief executive of Hansji Corporation, Azim Jamal, chief executive of Pacific Reach, Parsa Rohani, co-founder of Neudesic and Timu, and Evan Weiss, co-founder of LWHA, all took part, along with a group of hotel owners already running CAMO at their properties.

The platform is live at more than 60 hotels across six United States markets, and the company is in discussions with several major hotel brands and management companies about broader portfolio rollouts.

CAMO works from Anaheim. Its California base sits in a dense hospitality market, and the funding will take it into additional markets, support portfolio wide deployments now in pilot, and continue platform development.
